Olivia Pittillo, DVM
When she was 12 years old, Dr. Olivia Pittillo began volunteering at an animal shelter. From that point on, she always knew she would continue to work with animals in some capacity. Throughout high school and college, she worked in veterinary clinics, wildlife facilities and large animal facilities. These opportunities inspired her to become a vet.
Since graduating from veterinary school in 2016, she has worked in both general practice and emergency medicine. A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Dr. Pittillo moved to Charlotte in the summer of 2019.
When asked why she continues to dedicate her life to veterinary medicine, she said, “I love that no day is ever the same. As veterinarians, we get to build a unique relationship with people and their pets. Whether it is curing disease, managing chronic illness or alleviating suffering for a pet, we are able to make a daily impact on pets and the bond they share with their families.”
