Nicole Meddaugh, DVM
Dr. Nicole Meddaugh has dreamed of being a veterinarian her entire life. Her parents even have a video of her telling her preschool graduating class that she wanted to be a veterinarian when she grew up. She has worked diligently toward that dream and now brings that same focus and determination to treating patients at CARE.
After a bachelor’s degree in animal science, summa cum laude, Dr. Meddaugh attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine for her doctorate, which she received magna cum laude. She then completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at the Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center. It was there that she found her place in the ER. “I like the spontaneity and unpredictability that keeps every day a bit different and interesting,” she says.
Dr. Meddaugh loves hiking, so she is happy to be living in North Carolina, where there are mountains nearby. She enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active by working out and practicing yoga.
