Lauren E. Hall, DVM

Dr. Lauren Hall has devoted most of her life thus far to animals. In undergraduate school at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, she focused her senior project on how to quantify and analyze fat in European starlings, spending long hours in the nutrition lab at the Smithsonian National Zoo. The research she performed while there was furthered by other scientists at the zoo and is still proving quite useful today.

During that time and continuing through vet school at Virginia Tech, Dr. Hall worked as a vet assistant in several clinics as well as for four years in an animal emergency hospital. She excelled academically, receiving numerous prestigious scholarships, and even served as a tutor for the very challenging course of anatomy.

Hailing from Maryland originally, Dr. Hall moved to Charlotte specifically to work at CARE. Critical veterinary care is her passion, and she finds a way to use every personal obstacle to focus herself more keenly on being the best veterinarian she can be.
