Julia Carlin, DVM

Dr. Julia Carlin has always been passionate about animals, conservation and nature. Originally from South Florida, Dr. Carlin’s love of the outdoors brought her to reside in Charlotte, NC.

When Dr. Carlin was in high school, her sister had a near-death experience and spent some time in the ICU. It wasn’t until the service dogs rounded in the ICU that she was able to feel some hope in the hospital. At that point, Dr. Carlin realized that animals are more than just animals; they are family and serve as a sense of hope and joy to people. That is what made her want to become a veterinarian. She realized that being a vet you’re not just treating animals; you’re saving their humans too. While practicing high-quality medicine, Dr. Carlin strives to be a source of light for her clients in difficult times.

Outside of veterinary medicine, she spends her time rock climbing, hiking, reading and traveling.
