Jill Pascarella, DVM

Dr. Jill Pascarella grew up in south Florida, which explains why, after three years in Massachusetts, she chose Charlotte as the place to settle with her family. “After a few years of cold weather and snow,” she says, “my husband and I decided to move south.”

Dr. Pascarella offers a diversity of experience to CARE’s emergency patients. An internship at a private referral hospital in Massachusetts, followed by two years of emergency medicine, deepened her commitment to caring for pets at their most difficult moments. She also spent several years in general veterinary practice and understands the needs of clients referred to her for emergency treatment. “I was excited to come back to emergency medicine when CARE opened,” she says.

SPECIAL INTERESTS:

Special interests include emergency medicine, infectious and immune-mediated diseases and radiology.

Husband Joe and daughters Alyssa and Samantha

PETS:

Two cats: Walter, a stray she took in from the vet clinic where she worked, and Badger, a rescue from the shelter where she volunteered. One dog: Rosie, a lab mix rescue.
