Robert Ruane, DVM

Dr. Robert Ruane is originally from Scranton, PA, where he began his veterinary career in a high-volume referral hospital. Drawn by the milder weather and the personality of the people, he relocated to Charlotte in 2024.

In high school, Dr. Ruane developed an interest in veterinary medicine. Liking both animals and medicine, he was also drawn to a field that is always evolving, where he could continually learn new things.

He became a veterinary assistant while he was in undergraduate school. After graduating, he worked as a vet tech for several years before pursuing his doctorate.

When he is not at CARE, Dr. Ruane enjoys the outdoors. He and his wife like hiking and fishing and they are currently raising a dozen chickens.
