Our Core Values
Core Values
Passion for the well-being of animals is at the heart of every CARE employee, from the CSRs to the local owners. But being the Charlotte region’s leader in advanced veterinary care requires more of our staff. Our seven core values have helped shape our culture and define what we are looking for when hiring new members of the CARE team. Below is our list of core values, along with an explanation of how we define each of them.
Collaboration
As the premiere emergency and referral center in the southeast, CARE focuses on providing the best experience for staff, clients, and our referral community through our access to multiple specialties under one roof and a team that excels at leveraging one another’s expertise. CARE’s core value of Collaboration comes through as we:
- Value and support teammates and other colleagues by taking initiative to offer assistance.
- Help to facilitate care when patients are seeing several different specialties/doctors at one visit.
- At all times, prioritize communication with referring vets at any time
- Are generous with our time and effort for activities in the community (e.g. Pride Parade, Black History Month, etc.).
Compassion
Compassion in the workplace facilitates strong connections, builds relationships, improves our well-being at work and contributes to job satisfaction. As a core value, Compassion means we exercise the following:
