Gale Ford, DVM

Dr. Gale Ford’s lifelong passion for animal care has led her to embrace a variety of pursuits, from working at the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone, Mont., to serving as director of the Alaska Zoo. She is now a co-owner of Riverbend Farm in Hickory, N.C., where she raises Trakehner horses, a breed originally developed in East Prussia.

That diversity of experience has equipped Dr. Ford well to practice emergency medicine at CARE. Says Dr. Ford: “I love solving the medical challenges that enable us to bring much-loved pets back to good health.”
